This work is part of a series of Polaroids that explores the role of cars in our collective consciousness and the ideals and dreams associated with the automobile.
Since 2004, John Silvis has been the director of the New York Center for Art and Media Studies. He has lived and worked in New York since 1994 and shows in Italy, New York, Austria, Japan, Germany, and Minneapolis. Silvis has curated 17 art exhibitions in New York and Vienna, some of which were performance based. He received his MFA from the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna in 1994.
