Accusation
by Tyrus Clutter
Two-Color Woodcut
6” x 8 5/8” (image size)
This image is part of a continuing series of woodcuts exploring the life and work, and then death and resurrection of Christ. The scenes depicted do not always focus on the most obvious elements of the narrative. Here, Christ is mysteriously writing or drawing in the sand as he confronts the accusers of the woman caught in adultery.
